This historical “Posessio’” It is one of the major in the island, located between the nuclei of Sa Cabaneta and Pòrtol, a few minutes from Palma.
Until the end of the nineteenth century the farm was dedicated to livestock. From that date, it focuses on agricultural production, especially of almonds, carob trees, olive trees, as well as wheat and vineyards, obtaining oil and wine with their crops.
Nowadays, has around 200 quarters (143 Ha) and is dedicated almost exclusively to the cultivation of almonds, carob and a herd of sheep. In recent years nearly 10,000 almond have been planted. The main building in the central area of the property, has a magnificent panoramic views the western part of the Serra de Tramuntana and to the city of Palma and its bay.
In front of the main façade, in a sober classicist style, a path and a large paved terrace give access to the central “clastra”, reminiscent of the stately courtyards of Palma’s urban palaces. Next to the main façade are a series of auxiliary buildings destined for warehouses, among which the “Tafona” (the oil production area and deposit ), made of a monolith stone, stands out for its uniqueness; “El Celler” (the winery), in use until the 40s; and the stables.
It has a small game reserve duly registered.
One of the most surprising and authentic space is the chapel, which stands out for its baroque style, and which is consecrated from its construction to the “Mare de Déu” ( mother of God)
